Dr. Hosen has granted the Ernst und Berta Grimmke-Stiftung, worth approx. 100,000 Euro for 12 months for the development of noncoding RNA-based cardiovascular biomarkers to early detect/ diagnose heart disease and well-tolerated RNA-therapeutic approaches for cardiovascular disease. He is especially focusing on long noncoding RNAs and circular RNAs that regulate a myriad of cardiovascular diseases by aiming that these therapeutic genes can be targeted to develop beneficial ncRNA-based cardiovascular therapeutics
